I hope everyone has had a relaxing summer and a chance to attend some training during the break that will assist you in your field. If you are new to the OSROA, I would like to extend a warm welcome from the association. If you have any questions or need any assistance please feel free to contact me.
I am currently in the process of creating an OSROA web group, for information sharing purposes. The first OSROA meeting for the 08-09 school year will be held at Mentor High School, 8500 Civic Center Blvd Mentor, OH 44060. on Monday October 13, 2008 at 1000 hrs. Chief Conrad Straube of the Willoughby Police Department will be at the meeting to talk about the recent shooting at Willoughby South High School. Chief Straube will talk about the incident and lessons learned during the ordeal. I would urge each of you to attend this meeting to hear about his department’s experience.
