Character Education is a great subject for any SRO to teach or introduce into a school district. The resources are endless and the more we instill Character into our students the less crime and violence we will see. The report was conducted by the Center for the 4th & 5th Rs http://www.cortland.edu/character/defautl.asp, one of the nations most recognized authorities on Character Education.
Officers can find a great deal of information and resources on the subject at www.charactercounts.org. The six pillars of Character are the most widely used model, they are: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, citizenship.
