The Ohio School Resource Officers Association (OSROA) believes that the presence of a properly trained School Resource Officer within a school provides a first line of defense against violence, fosters communication/partnerships between educators, law enforcement, students and parents, and ensures safer and more productive school communities in Ohio.

OSROA Partners

Since 2005, The Ohio Association of Chief’s of Police has been a partner in the operations and support of OSROA. The partnership creates opportunities for other endeavors of school safety and programs to the youth and school communities of Ohio.

The Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association has been a longstanding partner with OSROA. BSSA holds joint meetings with OSROA, DARE Ohio and other stakeholders to help with information sharing and training.

Since 2019 with Governor Mike DeWine signing Executive Order 2019-21D creating the Ohio School Safety Center, the OSSC has been a partner with OSROA. Our two groups work diligently together in improving school safety across Ohio.
