The Ohio School Resource Officers Association (OSROA) believes that the presence of a properly trained School Resource Officer within a school provides a first line of defense against violence, fosters communication/partnerships between educators, law enforcement, students and parents, and ensures safer and more productive school communities in Ohio.

OSROA requires that media send an email inquiry to osroa@osroa.org and giving the following information:

  1. Subject line should list: Media Inquiry.
  2. Email Body:
  • Name, contact information and media outlet name.
  • Purpose of Inquiry
  • Questions to be responded to
  • Deadline
  • Interview method; phone, virtual or in-person

OSROA does not comment on:

  • SROs performance, complaints, or investigations. SROs are not employees of OSROA.
  • School incidents that could be part of an investigation.
