SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Is there an outstanding School Resource Officer in your Department or School System?

Reward them with a nomination for the Ohio School Resource Officers Association “School Resource Officer of the Year” Award. Nominations may be submitted by a Chief/Sheriff, Supervisor, another SRO, or any School Official.
The SRO nominated must meet the following requirements:
Have a minimum of two years experience as a School Resource Officer, be a member of the Ohio School Resource Officers Association, and have a strong commitment to other activities involving School Resource Officers and the community.
DISTINGUISHED SCHOOL SERVICE AWARD

Is there an outstanding administrator, staff or faculty member in your School System?
Reward them with a nomination for the Ohio School Resource Officers Association “Distinguished School Service” Award.
The Administrator, Staff or Faculty member nominated must meet the following requirements:
They must be nominated by a School Resource Officer that is a current member of Ohio School Resource Officers Association. The successful candidate will be an administrator, staff or faculty member who has had a positive impact on their school community by demonstrating support for a safe and positive learning environment.
AWARD OF VALOR
Valor Awards are given for a single act of courage and valor, above and beyond that expected of normal incidents/actions of an SRO/school staff member.
OSROA SCHOLARSHIP
The OSROA Scholarship Award is to be used toward expenses of the College or Technical School of the selected student’s

choice. The decision of the OSROA Scholarship Selection Committee is final and is based on the following requirements:
- Currently a High School Senior or attending a college/ technical school.
- Child, Step Child or legal dependent of a current OSROA member.
- Completed Essay (no more than 400 words) submitted with application form.
Scholarship will be awarded based on:
- Essay
- School Involvement
- Community Involvement
- GPA
